Benjamin Franklin Institute – Philadelphia

Recently we have visited the Benjamin Franklin Institute located at the Center city of Philadelphia.

It’s easily walkable from the SEPTA Suburban Station or 30th street stations located at the center city.

At the entrance of the museum, you will find 20 foot tall marble statue of the popular scientist and one of the founding father of the united states.

There is no need to purchase individual tickets to the general museum in advance. Museum Admission includes admission to Museum exhibits, live science demonstrations, and a show from the Planetarium. Admissions to the Tuttleman IMAX-Theater and to Franklin Theater require an additional ticket. Special exhibits like Flight Simulations, Indoor skybike will also require additional tickets.

You will be given a wristband after you purchase your tickets that will permit you to leave and re-enter the Museum on the same day.

This museum highlights with touchable attractions, Science, Sports, Kids stuff, Virtual-reality technology, Steam Engine Train, Flight Simulations, Weather station, Space commands, exhibits on electricity, Tuttleman IMax Theater doomed screen, Planetarium, 3D Theater and the Indoor skybike. And most importantly, walk-through heart like human corpuscle; at 15000 times life size.

It will take completely 5 to 6 hrs to enjoy everything and worth spending time. It will be a great experience to walk-through the human heart. The entire institute will stay in your memory for a long time.

The Museum is completely accessible for wheelchairs and scooters. Wear a nice pair of walking shoes while you roam around.

Franklin Institute is closed on all Federal Holidays.

Below are some of the snaps we took in our trip. Enjoy the visit of Franklin Institute.
